Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his United Arab Emirates counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, met in northern Egypt to discuss strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Upon arrival at Alamein International Airport, Sisi welcomed the Emirati leader, affirming the strength of their countries’ ties.
Notably, Sheikh Mohammed arrived in Egypt after signing a comprehensive economic partnership agreement with Angola.
This meeting highlights the growing diplomatic and economic cooperation between Egypt and the UAE, with both leaders likely discussing ways to enhance their nations’ interests and address regional challenges.
Their discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations, exploring avenues to strengthen ties and serve mutual interests.

The UAE’s upcoming hosting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28) may also have been on their agenda, given their shared interest in addressing regional and international challenges.
