The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, calling on them to continue praying for peace, prosperity, and progress in the country.

In a statement issued on Friday and made available to TVC, Mrs. Tinubu described the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as a moment of reflection on his exemplary virtues of humility, compassion, forgiveness, and devotion to Allah.

“She said the occasion serves as a reminder for all to embody the Prophet’s values in their daily lives by showing love, kindness, and unity to one another,” the statement read.

The First Lady urged Muslims to use the period not only for spiritual devotion but also as an opportunity to renew their commitment to national unity and peaceful coexistence.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has declared Friday, September 5, 2025, a public holiday to mark the celebration. In a statement, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, Dr. Magdalene Ajani, conveyed the government’s goodwill message on behalf of the Minister, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

The statement congratulated Muslims across Nigeria and beyond, urging them to reflect on the Prophet’s timeless virtues of peace, tolerance, humility, and compassion, while calling on Nigerians of all faiths to pray for the country’s peace, security, and stability.
