Nigeria: (VIDEO) Two-Storey Building Collapses in Lagos, Six Rescued

A two-storey building collapsed at 4, Modupeola Street, Mangoro Bus Stop, Alimosho, Lagos State, on Wednesday evening, leaving one person trapped beneath the rubble while five other occupants were successfully rescued.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m., and the cause of the collapse is yet to be determined.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) and other first responders swiftly arrived at the scene, rescuing the trapped victim and five others.

The rescued victims were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.

The trapped victim, a 44-year-old man with multiple fractures and bruises, was rushed to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Surgical Emergency Unit in stable condition.

Government officials have launched a probe into the incident to ascertain its cause and prevent future occurrences.
