President Bola Tinubu has promoted Ibrahim Masari from Senior Special Assistant to Special Adviser on Political Affairs, a more senior role in the presidential hierarchy.
Masari, a close ally of the President, will work alongside Alhaji Yau Darazo, who was appointed in July 2023.
This move reflects Masari’s growing influence in Tinubu’s administration, particularly in consolidating party unity and strengthening the President’s political base.
As Special Adviser, Masari will handle more strategic responsibilities and have direct access to the President.
He has been instrumental in reconciling factions within the All Progressives Congress (APC) and building bridges across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.
His experience as APC Welfare Secretary and member of the National Working Committee has earned him respect across party lines.
