The first facility, worth $500 million, is designated for the Building Resilient Digital Infrastructure for Growth in Nigeria (BRIDGE) project, led by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy. The programme aims to boost broadband penetration by developing climate-resilient infrastructure that will expand internet access to rural and remote communities.

The second loan, a $250 million facility, will support Nigeria’s participation in the Health Security Programme in Western and Central Africa – Phase II. The initiative seeks to enhance preparedness and response systems for health emergencies.

The dual support comes as Nigeria prioritises digital transformation and stronger healthcare systems as part of its wider development agenda.
