The Lagos State Government has re-arraigned convicted billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, before a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja.

Evans, along with his co-defendant, Joseph Emeka, faces a five-count charge bordering on murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit kidnapping. Both defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

This case is one of five different criminal cases Evans is currently facing, having already been convicted in two separate cases.

The development highlights the ongoing efforts of the Lagos State Government to prosecute and bring to justice individuals involved in serious crimes.

The case has garnered significant attention due to Evans’s notoriety as a kidnapper and the severity of the charges against him.

The court proceedings are expected to continue, with the prosecution presenting its case against Evans and his co-defendant.
