Tanzania has officially launched the Ngorongoro-Lengai Geopark, a cutting-edge facility developed with the support of China to boost geological research, heritage conservation, and tourism in the region.
The geopark, located within the UNESCO-listed Ngorongoro Conservation Area, was inaugurated by Tanzanian Vice President Philip Mpango on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan.
The project showcases the strong partnership between Tanzania and China, with the Chinese government providing technical and financial assistance for the development of the geopark.
The facility features modern exhibition halls, a theater, cultural square, and scientific learning spaces, designed to promote sustainable tourism and enhance the visitor experience.
The Ngorongoro-Lengai Geopark is a significant addition to Tanzania’s tourism infrastructure, highlighting the country’s commitment to preserving its natural and cultural heritage. With Chinese assistance, Tanzania aims to position itself as a premier global tourism destination.
