The Abdulrahman Mohammed-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken control of the party’s national headquarters at Wadata Plaza in Abuja ahead of its 103rd Board of Trustees (BoT) and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings.

Timothy Yusuf reports that security personnel have secured the PDP headquarters and its surroundings to maintain law and order.

Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the faction’s national secretary, explained that the deployment of security agents is necessary to prevent any disruption during the meetings.

Meanwhile, the Kabir Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) faction had not yet arrived at the secretariat for its own scheduled meeting at the time of this report.
