Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has revealed that he wanted the outright removal of Siminalayi Fubara as Governor of Rivers State, but President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in the state effectively saved Fubara’s job.

Speaking at a media chat in Abuja, Wike said Tinubu did the right thing by intervening in Rivers State, where Fubara’s government has been facing challenges.
