The Lagos police command has denied a report that thousands of Boko Haram suspects have been arrested in the state, saying the claim is false and intended to cause fear and apprehension among the public.

Following the publication, the police commissioner directed an immediate investigation, which revealed that no Boko Haram member was seen or arrested anywhere in the state.
