Gunmen stormed the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Oke-Isegun in Eruku, Kwara State, on Tuesday evening, killing three worshippers and abducting the pastor and several others.
The attack, which occurred during a live-streamed service, sent congregants scrambling for safety as gunfire erupted. The gunmen, reportedly more than five, ransacked the church and carted away belongings.
The Kwara State Police Command confirmed the attack, stating that officers and vigilantes responded swiftly, forcing the attackers to flee.
The community is reeling, with residents calling for urgent security intervention.
