Guinea-Bissau’s electoral commission announced it cannot complete the November 23 presidential election process due to armed men seizing ballots and vote tallies, and destroying servers storing results.

The military seized power on November 26, a day before results were to be announced, and Major-General Horta Inta-a was sworn in as transitional president on November 27, promising a one-year transition.
