Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has denied reports of a rift between him and federal or state lawmakers from the state, stating that claims of strained relations are unfounded.
Fubara made this statement at the commissioning of the 28.4-kilometre Ahoada-Omoku Road, saying arrangements had already been made for a meeting with the lawmakers, facilitated by his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, and other leaders.
The governor, who recently defected from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), urged Rivers people to continue supporting President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing that his decision to join the APC was aimed at achieving peace and progress in the state.
Fubara reaffirmed his commitment to delivering democratic dividends, highlighting the completed road project as a promise made during his campaign.
