The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has stated that former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, is still in detention because he hasn’t met the bail conditions set by the commission.
Malami was granted administrative bail on November 28, pending investigation and possible arraignment, but the EFCC says he hasn’t fulfilled the five conditions attached to the bail.
The EFCC refuted Malami’s claim that his bail was revoked because he attended a political gathering in Kebbi State, saying the former minister’s claims are “untenable” and “ridiculous”.
The commission advised Malami to focus on meeting the bail conditions rather than making false claims in the media.
