Vice President Kashim Shettima is in Lagos State to participate in the Chief of Army Staff Annual Conference 2025.
Upon arrival, Shettima was received by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other senior state officials. The governor, in turn, was welcomed at the event by the service chiefs.

Also in attendance is the Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), who acknowledged greetings from his former colleagues.

The conference is themed: “Examining the Current Landscape of Terrorism Through the Lenses of Diplomatic and Military Action Strategy for Long-term Prevention and Stabilisation.” It aims to explore strategies for tackling terrorism through coordinated diplomatic and military efforts, focusing on sustainable solutions and long-term stability.

As part of the programme, the event will also feature the unveiling of the book ‘A Life of Service’, in honour of the 23rd Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja.
