The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has approved scheduled flight operations at Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport, Ibadan, following upgrades by the Oyo State Government.
The provisional interim operational permit was issued after NCAA reviewed safety-critical facilities and mitigation measures.
The Oyo State Government had undertaken projects including runway extension, improved airfield lighting, a 500,000-litre aviation fuel storage facility, and a new Protocol Lounge.
The approval enables scheduled passenger services to return, enhancing connectivity for Oyo State and surrounding regions.
