President Bola Tinubu is set to present the 2026 budget to a joint session of the National Assembly at 2 p.m. today, following his letter to the Senate seeking confirmation for the presentation.
The budget proposal comes after Tinubu’s ₦49.7tn 2025 budget, which focused on economic renewal, defence, security, infrastructure, health, and education.
In his 2025 budget speech, Tinubu expressed commitment to economic progress, citing reforms yielding results and no reversals, while acknowledging threats from corruption and insecurity.
