Terrorists stormed the Adanla community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State on Friday evening, abducting at least seven residents and injuring several others in an attack that has plunged the area into a state of panic and grief.
According to a local source, the armed bandits invaded the town around 7:30 p.m. the day after Christmas, firing indiscriminately as they moved through homes and forcibly took their victims, leaving a young girl critically injured.
This attack heightens security concerns in Kwara, which was already on edge after explosions rocked the town of Offa on Thursday night.
The federal government later confirmed that debris from US-led anti-terror airstrikes in Sokoto State fell in Offa, destroying several buildings but causing no casualties.
The police have not yet issued an official statement on the Adanla abduction, and it remains unclear if a rescue operation is underway.
