The Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) has announced a notable improvement in the nation’s power supply following the successful repair of the vandalized Lagos-Escravos gas infrastructure.

The Nigerian Gas Infrastructure Company (NGIC) carried out the repairs, restoring gas flow to several key thermal power plants.

In a statement, NISO explained that power is being gradually restored to the national grid in a measured way to prevent system stress and ensure stability.

While other thermal plants remain on standby pending gas supply confirmation, NISO affirmed its commitment to working with stakeholders to sustain these improvements and urged consumers to continue conserving energy where possible.
