Nigeria’s Headline Inflation rate declined to 15.15% in December 2025, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
The adjusted figure, which uses a 12-month index reference period, is higher than the 14.45% reported in November.
The NBS attributed the change to a methodological adjustment, maximizing the index reference period to reflect current inflationary realities.
The Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose to 131.2 in December, up by 0.7 points from November.
On a year-on-year basis, the Headline inflation rate decreased by 19.65% compared to December 2024.
