The abducted expatriate is a 42-year-old Indian national, identified as Renjith Pillai, who was inspecting crops on the farm when the attackers struck.

The police officer who lost his life was killed while repelling the attackers, and some of the gunmen were injured during the exchange.

The Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has ordered a swift response, directing the Anti-Kidnapping Squad and other tactical teams to the scene.

A bush-combing operation is ongoing, and a full investigation has been launched to rescue the abducted expatriate and track down those responsible.
