Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has signed the ₦4.4 trillion 2026 budget into law, tagged “Budget of Shared Prosperity”.
The budget, passed by the Lagos State House of Assembly, aims to promote prosperity and build a Lagos that benefits all residents.
Sanwo-Olu outlined four pillars for the budget: human-centred approach, modern infrastructure, thriving economy, and effective governance, aligned with the state’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ Agenda.
The governor emphasized eradicating poverty and building a Lagos that works for all, saying the budget will make shared prosperity a reality.
Present at the signing ceremony were Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat, state executive council members, and lawmakers.
