Two serious road accidents occurred on Friday morning at the Otedola Bridge, inward Lagos, causing major traffic disruption.
It was gathered that the first and most severe incident involved a fully loaded truck that lost control and overturned on the bridge. The truck reportedly spilled its cargo across the road, covering about 90 per cent of the carriageway and rendering the route nearly impassable to motorists.
The Lagos State Rapid Response Command confirmed the incidents in a statement, noting that emergency responders had been alerted to clear the spilled consignments and prevent further accidents.
According to the statement, a second accident occurred directly behind the overturned truck, further compounding the traffic situation in the area.
