A Nigerian Air Force aircraft allegedly killed two people and injured six others in Kurgi community, Niger State, on January 25, 2026.
The airstrike, attributed to Operation Fansan Yamma, caused widespread panic, forcing residents to flee their homes.
Sources say the aircraft targeted people indiscriminately, using bombs and bullets. Victims include a man shot in the stomach while fleeing and others left without limbs. The Nigerian Air Force hasn’t commented on the incident.
The attack has sparked outrage, with calls for authorities to investigate and provide medical assistance to those affected. Similar incidents have previously displaced communities and caused civilian casualties.
