Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reiterated its commitment to full regulatory compliance and cooperation with the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA).

The refinery, which has been at the center of controversy with former NMDPRA CEO Farouk Ahmed, says its supply strategy aligns with efforts to ensure market stability and orderly downstream operations.

According to a public notice, Dangote Refinery can supply 75 million litres of premium motor spirit (PMS) daily, exceeding Nigeria’s estimated domestic consumption of 50 million litres.

The refinery also has capacity to supply 25 million litres of diesel and 20 million litres of aviation fuel per day, far above national demand.

The refinery’s stance comes after Aliko Dangote, chairman and founder, accused Farouk Ahmed of corruption, leading to Ahmed’s resignation.

Dangote Refinery says it’s working closely with regulators and stakeholders to support Nigeria’s energy security goals and deliver benefits of local refining to consumers.
