English Championship Club, Coventry City are close to signing Nigeria and Brentford midfielder, Frank Onyeka.

The 28-year-old who recently returned from the Africa Cup of Nations, is said to be considering his next career move, with the final decision resting on him. Onyeka made four starts at the tournament, including playing 119 minutes in Nigeria’s semi-final loss to Morocco.

This season, Onyeka has struggled for game time at Brentford, featuring in only six Premier League matches and failing to start any, with manager Keith Andrews preferring other midfield options.

Coventry City, under Frank Lampard, are looking to strengthen their squad in the middle of the park, and the addition of Onyeka could provide depth and experience for the Sky Blues as they navigate the remainder of the season.
