Mugabe’s Son Detained in South Africa Over Shooting Incident

Bellarmine Mugabe, the youngest son of Zimbabwe’s late former President Robert Mugabe, has been detained in South Africa following a reported shooting at a property in Johannesburg’s Hyde Park suburb.

A man, believed to be a gardener, was shot and is in critical condition in hospital.

Robert Mugabe, who died in 2019, ruled Zimbabwe for 37 years before being ousted in 2017. Bellarmine is the son of Robert and his second wife, Grace Mugabe.
