Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed his willingness to collaborate with all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, including newly elected representatives from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ukalikpe Napoleon and Loolo Bulabari Henrietta won the Ahoada East State Constituency II and Khana State Constituency II seats, respectively, in the recent by-elections.
Fubara praised the electoral process, describing it as a demonstration of democratic maturity in the state.
He commended residents of Ahoada East and Khana constituencies for their peaceful conduct during the elections.
The governor’s statement comes after a prolonged political crisis in the state, which led to a six-month emergency rule. The Rivers Assembly had previously suspended impeachment proceedings against Fubara.
