President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will depart Abuja for Lagos on Tuesday to join regional leaders in marking the 50th anniversary of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
As the current Chairman of ECOWAS, Tinubu will lead a symbolic reenactment of the 1975 declaration that founded the regional bloc at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs in Victoria Island.
He will also deliver a keynote address at Eko Hotels and Suites, highlighting the bloc’s achievements over the past five decades.
During his visit, Tinubu is scheduled to commission several major infrastructure projects, including Section I of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Lekki Deep Sea Port Tax Credit Concrete Road, and the 7th Axial Road.
The President will also flag off Section II of the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project. Before returning to Abuja, Tinubu will observe the Eid-el-Kabir prayers at the State House Mosque in Dodan Barracks.
