FAAN had announced the launch of ‘operation go cashless’ in September 2025, in partnership with Paystack, to gradually phase out physical cash collection at revenue points.

The move is part of the federal government’s efforts to promote electronic payments and comply with treasury single account (TSA) policies.

The cashless payment system will cover airport access gates, car parks, and VIP/protocol lounges. Airport users can pick up their Go-Cashless cards at commercial offices and access gates nationwide.

This move is expected to reduce cash handling risks, increase efficiency, and enhance the overall airport experience.
