The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has re-elected Abubakar Kana-Zuru as its State Chairman for a second term, following a peaceful and consensus-driven congress held in Birnin Kebbi.
Kana-Zuru emerged unopposed, with delegates drawn from all 21 local government areas and 225 wards of the state.
Other officials elected include Alhaji Ado-Mudi Augie as Vice Chairman, Alhaji Saidu Muhammad-Kimba as Secretary, and Hajiya A’isha Gunabi as State Women Leader.
Governor Nasir Idris praised party stakeholders and delegates for their maturity, stating that the peaceful outcome reflected a collective commitment to unity and progress.
The congress was described as one of the most orderly in the party’s history in the state, with Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu, commending the governor and party stakeholders for their role in ensuring a smooth process. Kana-Zuru thanked the governor and party stakeholders for the renewed mandate, assuring members of his loyalty and commitment to strengthening the party.
