The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Opeyemi Bamidele, the Senate Leader, to head the campaign council for Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election bid in Ekiti State.
The 57-member campaign council, unveiled on Thursday, includes prominent figures such as Adeyemi Adaramodu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Public Affairs, and Cyril Fasuyi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Services ¹ ² ³.
Bamidele accepted the appointment, describing it as a privilege and a huge challenge.
He pledged to work with the council, Ekiti APC structure, and the national secretariat to secure Oyebanji’s re-election.
The campaign will focus on showcasing Oyebanji’s achievements and the APC’s national performance.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has scheduled the Ekiti governorship election for June 18, 2026.
