Former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has condemned the attack on his convoy and the burning of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) office in Ubima, Rivers State.
The incident occurred on Friday while Amaechi was traveling to his hometown to complete his electronic registration as an ADC member.
Armed men ambushed his convoy, firing gunshots and setting the ADC office ablaze the night before.
Amaechi has urged security agencies to track down and prosecute the attackers, commending the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, DSS Director, and NSCDC Commandant for their swift response.
He also called on the Rivers State government to strengthen security to prevent further violence.
