Sarah Ogoke, captain of D’Tigress, has announced her retirement from international basketball.

The 35-year-old made the announcement on Monday in Lyon in the presence of her teammates.

BASKETBALL: Nigerian Government Hands Over Houses, Confers Honours on D’Tigress

Ogoke, who made her debut for Nigeria in 2017, enjoyed a successful career with the national team, winning five FIBA Women’s AfroBasket titles.

A shooting guard, she bows out of international basketball as a decorated athlete, as well as a medical doctor, wife and mother.

She is expected to make her final appearance for D’Tigress in their match against Germany women’s national basketball team at the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifying Tournament.
