The Vice President, Kashim Shettima, has visited victims of the recent bomb blast who are currently receiving treatment at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.

The explosion reportedly claimed 23 lives and left 108 others with varying degrees of injuries.

Upon arrival at the Maiduguri Air Force Base, the Vice President was received by the Umar Usman Kadafur, alongside members of the National and State Assemblies, the Secretary to the Borno State Government, members of the State Executive Council, as well as leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Shettima later proceeded to the hospital, accompanied by the Deputy Governor and other officials, where he commiserated with the injured victims and their families. He also presented tokens of support to assist in their treatment and recovery.
