Hoodlums carried out a deadly reprisal attack in Nasarawa communities, leaving 11 people dead and over 50 houses burnt. The incident, which occurred early Friday, was reportedly sparked by the alleged killing of two kinsmen.
The Nasarawa State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the perpetrators, with Police Commissioner Shetima Mohammed assuring that justice will be served.
The attack has prompted the deployment of security personnel, including the Military and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), to restore peace in the affected communities.
Residents have been urged to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies to support ongoing investigations.
