Nigerian professional wrestler Isaac Odugbesan, popularly known as Oba Femi, delivered a stunning performance on his WrestleMania debut, defeating Brock Lesnar in under five minutes.

The bout, one of the headline clashes at WrestleMania 42, ended in dramatic fashion as the 27-year-old overwhelmed the 10-time world champion with a dominant display.
In a moment that has sparked widespread speculation, Lesnar removed and left his wrestling gear in the ring after the match—a gesture traditionally seen as a sign of retirement in professional wrestling.

Oba Femi, nicknamed “The Ruler,” has enjoyed a rapid rise in WWE, having spent just three months on the main roster after building his reputation in NXT, where he held multiple titles.

The contest began with both wrestlers testing each other’s strength, with Lesnar briefly taking control through a series of powerful moves. However, Femi weathered the early pressure and turned the tide with an impressive comeback.
After surviving Lesnar’s trademark F5, the Nigerian responded with a chokeslam before sealing victory with his “Fall From Grace” sit-out powerbomb to secure the pinfall.

The result quickly became a major talking point, with fans reacting to the shock win across social media platforms.
Before joining WWE in 2021 through its NIL programme, Odugbesan competed in track and field as a shot put athlete. He went on to win the 2023 NXT Men’s Breakout Tournament and the 2024 Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge, further cementing his status as one of the company’s rising stars.
During the WrestleMania post-show, Oba Femi sent a message to Roman Reigns, also known as the “Original Tribal Chief,” hinting at a potential title challenge later in the year.
