APC Extends Deadline for Nomination Forms to May 6, Shifts Screening Dates

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has extended the timelines for the sale and submission of expression of interest and nomination forms for aspirants ahead of the 2027 elections.

The party announced the adjustment in a statement on Monday issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.

According to the APC, the sale of forms has been extended to midnight on Wednesday, May 6. The deadline for submission of completed forms is now midnight on Thursday, May 7.

Screening of aspirants will hold from Friday, May 8, to Tuesday, May 12. The list of screened aspirants will be published on Wednesday, May 13.

On April 20, the APC released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general election, fixing May 15 and 16 for its presidential primary.

The House of Representatives primary is slated for May 18, the Senate primary for May 20, state houses of assembly primaries for May 21, and governorship primaries for May 23.
