Mohamed Salah of Egypt is preparing to bring down the curtain on his Liverpool career, with the Egyptian forward set to make his final appearance for the club after nine remarkable years at Anfield.

Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 for £34m and quickly overcame early doubts to become one of the Premier League’s greatest ever forwards, redefining attacking standards under former manager Jürgen Klopp.

Since his arrival, he has scored 257 goals for the club and provided 119 assists, overtaking Liverpool legends including Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen and Robbie Fowler on the all-time scoring list. Only Ian Rush and Roger Hunt have netted more in the club’s history.

His consistency has been extraordinary, with Salah recording a goal or assist every 94 minutes on average in a Liverpool shirt and delivering multiple seasons of over 50 goal involvements.

Salah played a central role in Liverpool’s major trophy successes under Klopp, including the UEFA Champions League triumph in 2019 and the Premier League title win in the 2019/20 season, along with other domestic and international honours.

Manager Jürgen Klopp praised the Egyptian’s professionalism and work ethic, saying he set “completely new standards” for elite performance and recovery.

Salah’s time at Liverpool also saw him form a famous attacking trio with Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino, a partnership widely regarded as one of the most effective in modern football.

Beyond the statistics, Salah is credited with producing some of Liverpool’s most iconic moments, including decisive goals against Manchester City, Everton and Manchester United.

His final appearance is expected to come against Brentford, marking the end of an era at Anfield, although his next destination remains unknown.

Liverpool fans are now preparing to bid farewell to one of the club’s greatest ever players, with Salah set to leave behind a legacy defined by goals, trophies and unforgettable moments.
