Adedeji, 46, is an Economics graduate of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and hails from Iwo-Ate in Ogo Oluwa Local Government Area of the state.

Speaking at the event, Oyo State APC Chairman and former Deputy Governor, Moses Adeyemo, urged party members to remain united and work together to secure victory in the 2027 governorship election.

He said unity within the party was essential to reclaim power in the state and expressed confidence that the APC ticket would emerge victorious at the polls.

Presenting the INEC nomination form to Alli, the APC Deputy National Auditor, Gbenga Olayemi, described the governorship candidate as the party’s standard-bearer and called on members to support his candidacy.

In his acceptance speech, Alli described his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate as a collective victory for all APC members.

He thanked President Bola Tinubu, the APC National Working Committee, the state leadership of the party, security agencies and party members for their support during the primary election.

The senator also appealed to other aspirants and their supporters to unite behind the party, saying the task of reclaiming Oyo State required sacrifice, unity and collective commitment.

He pledged to run an inclusive administration focused on agriculture, youth empowerment, education, healthcare, infrastructure development, environmental protection and economic growth if elected governor.

According to Alli, his administration would also align with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda by promoting accountability, fairness, justice and quality service delivery.

Accepting his nomination as deputy governorship candidate, Adedeji expressed appreciation to the party leadership for the opportunity and expressed confidence that the APC would win the 2027 governorship election.

The event was attended by members of the APC State Working Committee, National Assembly and State House of Assembly candidates, as well as party leaders and stakeholders from across the state.
