The National Sports Commission (NSC) on Friday hosted Nigerian athletes Kayinsola Ajayi, Nicholas Fakorede and Miracle Ezechukwu in Abuja as part of Team Nigeria’s preparations for the upcoming Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
The reception formed part of the commission’s efforts to encourage and support the athletes ahead of the multi-sport event.
Following the event, some members of Team Nigeria departed Nigeria for a training camp in Aberdeen, where they will continue their final preparations before travelling to Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games.
The training camp is expected to help the athletes fine-tune their performances as they aim to represent Nigeria successfully at the Games.
