Anthony Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has died at the age of 62.

The Adeosun family announced his passing in a statement issued on Thursday, confirming that he died on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lagos State.
The statement, signed by Rev. C. A. Adeosun on behalf of the family and titled “Announcement of the Passing of Mr. Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun,” described the deceased as a distinguished businessman, devoted Christian and family man whose life was marked by integrity, generosity and unwavering faith.

“It is with profound sorrow, yet in total submission to the will of Almighty God, that the Adeosun family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and brother, Mr. Anthony Adeniyi (Niyi) Adeosun, who was called home to glory on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, in Lagos,” the statement read.
The family said Anthony Adeosun dedicated his life to hard work, service to God and commitment to his family and community, noting that he positively impacted the lives of many who knew him.
While mourning his passing, the family expressed faith in God and sought comfort during the difficult period, adding that details of his funeral and Christian burial arrangements would be announced later.
Anthony Adeosun is survived by his wife, former Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, his children and siblings, including the founder of Kuramo Capital, Adewale Adeosun.
The family also expressed appreciation to friends, associates and well-wishers for their prayers, condolences and support, praying for the peaceful repose of his soul.
