Yekini Idaiyi was sworn in on Monday as the new Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly.

Idaiyi, who represents Akoko Edo II Constituency, took the oath of office during plenary. His emergence comes after the resignation of former Speaker Blessing Agbebaku.
