Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has reinstated Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi as the Emir of Kano.
The announcement was made after Yusuf signed the new emirate council law at Government House, Kano, on Thursday.
The law was signed at precisely 5:10 PM, with the governor’s deputy, the Speaker of the State Assembly, and other principal officers in attendance.
Sanusi’s reinstatement marks a significant turn of events, as he was previously dethroned in 2020 by former Governor Abdullahi Ganduje due to a personal conflict.
