Nigeria’s Prestina Ochonogor also competed and finished fourth with a jump of 6.28m.

In the women’s high jump final, Nigeria’s Temitope Adeshina won silver, clearing a height of 1.84m. Ghana’s Rose Yeboah took the gold with a best effort of 1.87m, marking the second time Yeboah has beaten Adeshina after their recent NCAA Championships encounter.

In the men’s 400m final, Samuel Ogazi secured bronze with a time of 45.47s. Cheikh Tidiana Tiouf of Senegal won the race in 45.23s, with Lee Eppie of Botswana taking silver in 45.39s. Nigeria’s new national champion, Dubem Amene, finished seventh in 46.27s.

Nigeria’s women’s 400m champion, Esther Joseph, also won bronze, finishing in 51.94s. South Africa’s Miranda Coetzee claimed gold in 51.16s, followed by Quincy Malekani of Zambia, who took silver in 51.56s.
