The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed Abdullahi Isa, a veteran goalkeeper and former assistant coach, as the new Head Coach of the Supersand Eagles.

He will be assisted by Christopher Kadiri and Bashar Samaila as the Goalkeepers’ Trainer. Experienced players Victor Tale and Emeka Ogbonna are included in the squad, alongside Arome Isah, Adams Taiwo, Emmanuel Ohwoferia, Godwin Tale, Egan-Osi Ekujimi, Chidozie Frank, and Hassan Abdullahi.

After five years away from international competition, Nigeria’s Supersand Eagles will depart for Nouakchott on Friday morning for their 2024 Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Mauritania, scheduled for Saturday.

The first leg of this two-leg fixture will be officiated by Egyptian officials. Hany Farouk El-Sayed Eleraky will serve as the referee, with Ahmed Mohamed Elwan Nofal as Referee 2 and Ibrahim El-Sayed Mahgoub as Referee 3. Khaled Mohamed Elewa will be the timekeeper, while Moroccan El Mansouri Taha will act as the commissioner.
The return leg is set for Saturday, July 27th, 2024 in Nigeria.
