Seven mass transit buses were set ablaze in Potiskum, Yobe State, on Monday amid the ongoing nationwide #EndBadGovernance protests.

The incident occurred on the premises of the local government secretariat.

An eyewitness reported that a group of individuals attempted to cause mayhem but were swiftly countered by security personnel.

The Spokesman for the Yobe State Police Command, Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed the event and assured that the perpetrators would be brought to justice.

The #EndBadGovernance protests, which began on Thursday, August 1, 2024, are driven by economic hardship and are scheduled to continue until August 10 across all states and the nation’s capital, Abuja. The movement has gained significant momentum through social media.
