Nigeria’s Women’s U-18 Handball team coach, Adewunmi Shittu, has announced the final squad for the 10th edition of the IHF Women’s U-18 Handball Championship in China.
The team departed for China on Monday, flying out from Muritala International Airport, Lagos, via Egypt Air, and is set to arrive in Chuzhou, the competition’s venue, on Tuesday.

The final squad includes Captain Esther Mathew, the Babatunde twins, and the Samuel sisters, with one of the Muhammad sisters also making the cut. Left-back, Amarachi Oparaugo and Pivot Damilola Akinlade are part of the team, along with Igbenedion Blessing, Onyekwere Lucy, Ogbusimba Chidera, Muhammad Amina, Okolo Joan, Bello Rahima, and Izuoba Ijeoma.
Nigeria will kick off their campaign against Croatia on Wednesday, followed by a match against Montenegro on Thursday, before concluding their group stage with a game against continental rivals Angola on Saturday.
