The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved an increase in the fees for Nigerian Passports.
According to a statement from the Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Kenneth Udo, the new fees will take effect from September 1st, 2024. This adjustment is part of efforts to maintain the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.

Under the new fee structure, a 32-page Passport booklet with a 5-year validity, previously priced at Thirty-five Thousand Naira, will now cost Fifty Thousand Naira. Similarly, the 64-page Passport booklet with a 10-year validity, which was previously Seventy Thousand Naira, will now be One Hundred Thousand Naira.
The statement notes that fees for passport applications abroad remain unchanged.

While acknowledging any inconvenience this increase may cause to applicants, the Nigeria Immigration Service reassures Nigerians of its commitment to transparency and quality service delivery at all times
