Amarachu Ugochukwu, a Nigerian bank marketer, committed suicide. Wednesday at her place of employment in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the state police, confirmed this to reporters on Thursday morning.
AAN TV gathered that Amarachu was an alleged staff of Globus bank in Ikorodu, Lagos State, and she was 32 years old as at time of her passing.
It was discovered that Amarachu swallowed pesticide and locked herself in the bank’s restroom.
On X (previously Twitter), a user announced Amarachu’s passing and included a purported handwritten message from the deceased, in which she said that her decision was a result of the challenges she had endured in life.
The note reads: “NOTING IS WORKING IN MY LIFE. MY FIGURES ARE COLD. MY BRAIN IS CLOGGED UP. THE ECONOMY IS GETTING HARDER. MY DECISIONS ARE WRONG. MY DECISIONS ARE WRONG. MY MIND IS MESSED UP.

“THE FUTURE DOESN’T SEEM BRIGHT AT ALL, I SEE EXTREME HARDSHIP. I CAN’T BEAR THE PAIN ANYMORE.
“I’M SORRY MUM, I’M SORRY DAD, I’M SORRY MEME, OKWE, NAZOR, CHUCHU, IFUNANYA.”
